Vanhin McMullan's Mission to Finland!

 Wednesday November 29, 2023 My last week in America for 2 years is here, the next time I write I'll be in Finland, I'm excited to go and preach the gospel to the Finnish people, a lots happened this week, but I just want give my testimony that God is real, and he loves every single one of us, there is no limit to the love he has for us, there is nothing we can do to ever make him stop loving us.  No matter what you've done in your past he still loves you,  he wants us to be happy and experience joy, turn to him in your times of hardship, as you do so you will feel his love and be led to correct paths, through Jesus Christ's Atonement we can be forgiven for all that we have done, you just have to have the faith and courage to do it, shake off your past sins and come to God, let yourself feel his love, stop hating yourself for past mistakes or things you could have done better and move forward with your eyes on our Lord, I think of the lyrics to amazing grace a l...

  Wednesday November 22, 2023 Time at the MTC has really flown by, I only have 2 weeks left here before I go to Finland, I'm going to miss the gang here but I'll see them sometimes in Finland so that's good, obviously I'm super excited for Finland though.  The gym life is great as always, the bathroom wars continue, the language is going great, everything is all around pretty great here.  Uhhhh, we got a visit from Elder Daine of the 70 yesterday, he spoke about how its good to challenge our beliefs because it's how we grow stronger spiritually, and to just hold onto your faith no matter what.  Elder Jones got chased down by a security car yesterday because he booked it for the fence to see the Christmas lights, so we had a funny interaction with security  , we also are getting an apostle tomorrow so that's going to be cool, we've been doing a lot of service recently and tomorrow is a gigantic all day service project but they haven't told us what it is y...

 Wednesday November 15, 2023 Hey everyone! Literally nothing happend this week that's worth mentioning other than a fire devotional from Sister Spanaus whose the 2nd councler in the young women's presidency, the main takeaways were to teach the doctrine of christ as it is and to not sugarcoat or skip topics that are hard to talk about.  It was probably one of my favorite devotionals yet.  One more notable thing is I'm learning the Elder scrolls theme on the piano (hence the title of the email).  It sounds more like morrowinds right now because I'm just learning but ya  .  Finnish is great, the district is good as always.  That's all from me today y'all  Jumala on hyvä Moi moi

 Monday November 8, 2023 Hyvää Päivää!   Not much to talk about this week other than Elder Uchtdorf coming for our devotional yesterday, but I'll get to that later.  Finnish is going great, I'm getting better every day it feels like.  I can understand a lot now and we watched a conference talk in Finnish and I got a lot of what was said.   So after the events of the Pudding Incident of October 27, me and the boys have been pranking each other a lot. Most of it happens in the bathroom, where if someone from our district is in a stall or shower, we'll wet paper towels and chuck it over to either hit them or just scare them.  It's an every day occurrence and no one is safe.  I got everyone a few days back when we all got back from the gym.  They filled up the showers, I turned into an artillery Cannon barraging those ginger haters.  Also we made some really funny like cards I guess of each other, I'll show them in the pictures. ...

 Monday Nov. 1, 2023 There I was, showering, minding my business getting scrubbed up after an epic workout session, when suddenly my beautiful, carefree, peaceful life came to an end and was shattered as a glob of chocolate pudding flew mach 10 into my face and hair. The scene was atrocious, once with pristine white walls the shower was now coated into something that can only resemble a war zone as pudding covered both me and the walls making this sanctuary the scene of murder. What was i to do? Having had already cleaned myself and was ready to get out only to be assaulted by the man known as Vanhin Chandler. As I sat there in horror of the events, I thought to myself "why me, what could I have done to deserve this" when I realized the bitter truth,  Ginger discrimination is real.  Wed October 25, 2023 Hey everyone, honestly not too much happened this week, just the same old schedule, I got sick this week which is a total L but it's not too bad. Finnish is going good, I'm starting to understand some of the grammar cases now and how and when to use them, the word study is going too. I also ran into a pole face first one day because I was distracted talking to Vanhin Palmer and it was really funny  . They had some fire spicy chicken sandwiches yesterday, it was bomb. Something that was super epic was we were visited by Elder Anderson and he gave an amazing devotional. The main take aways I got were : 1. Never settle in your spiritual journey, there is always more you can do to grow 2. He talked a lot about how everyone feels the Spirit differently and how we all need to find out how we feel it It was super cool being able to see an apostle at the MTC, you get a way larger appreciation of them when your a missionary haha. Yoooo what is up everyone, I can finally tell you all about what's been going on. The plane ride went by so fast, there were 6 other missionaries on my flight and we talked the entire time and had a blast. So getting to see my district for the first time was super epic and we all bonded instantly and are insanely close now. I first met Vanhin Smith because he had been staying there for a day already because thats when the church scheduled his flight from Britain and I was the first to arrive, everyone else showed up a little bit later, i got to try some fire british candy. The MTC is super spiritual and ive learned so much Finnish already even though it doesnt quite make sense yet haha. My instructors are epic, they just got back from Finland in the past year so thats pretty cool, our district has the perfect amount of Goofy and spiritual so it's always a blast.
