Chapter 2: The Traveling Tie Vendor (the MTC)
Yoooo what is up everyone, I can finally tell you all about what's been going on. The plane ride went by so fast, there were 6 other missionaries on my flight and we talked the entire time and had a blast. So getting to see my district for the first time was super epic and we all bonded instantly and are insanely close now. I first met Vanhin Smith because he had been staying there for a day already because thats when the church scheduled his flight from Britain and I was the first to arrive, everyone else showed up a little bit later, i got to try some fire british candy. The MTC is super spiritual and ive learned so much Finnish already even though it doesnt quite make sense yet haha. My instructors are epic, they just got back from Finland in the past year so thats pretty cool, our district has the perfect amount of Goofy and spiritual so it's always a blast. ALSO MTC FOOD IS GAS, people who say it sucks are cringe, ive had probably the best fish taco ever here yesterday, I mean obviously some food is bad but for the most part its really good. Vanhin Smith was chosen to be our District leader so I make the joke that hes colonizing America again. My companion is super fun snd amazing and plays the piano like an absolute pro, its literally witch craft how hes able to play so good. He has never taken lessons and can play a song just by hearing it for a few seconds or off memory, so we give him a bunch of music to play and its awesome. Hes super chill and overall just an absolute legend. GOATed comp right here. Our schedule is really tight because of everything we have to do in a day, there's hardly any time but luckily there is for the gym 
, we had a member of the 70 come yesterday and that was cool, he spoke about how we need to trust in God always and fear not about learning our languages because God will put us where we need to be as long as we have faith and obviously put in our all. So one funny thing is every now and then we'll have the "Traveling Tie Merchant" come around bartering ties with everyone, I got a trade but am looking to make a better trade today so wish me luck. Btw he's another missionary not a part of the institution or anything, he's super chill. The gym life is going crazy, they have 2 gyms here for elders, one is an all machine gym and the other is an all dumbell, so im getting some good workouts in to keep the gains, not to mention the nutrition is so good here and theres tons of protein options and low calories so heck ya! (Not mentioning the protein powder I brought). Um ya idk what else to say, how're all of y'all doing
