Vanhin McMullan's Mission to Finland!

 Tuesday March 26, 2024 Hey everyone! Kinda a crazy but fun week. Our friends are progressing really well. Simon lost his phone so he hasn't been texting us (we know because we saw someone post about his lost phone and wallet in the community FB chat, so we're trying to get in contact with those people rn), Toni is doing great, he told us why he chose to start meeting with us too. So basically he was praying to God for truth and direction in life, and when we ended he looked out the window and saw us! So he self referred himself right after that to our church, so that's super cool! Kasun is also doing great and so are the rest of our friends. Finland is a really happy country with a ton of good people, but you also see a lot of horror stories that I've left out of my emails. Refugees from Countries that are falling apart, there's Russians and Ukrainians absolutely everywhere that flee here and they can't speak Finnish or English, so they're just kind of stuc...

 Tuesday March 19, 2024 2 weeks without it snowing right, Ice is melted and life is good, but then out of no where, 1.5 feet of snow comes within a few hours with insane Wind!  It's actually super cool and fun, but it was completely a surprise.   HEY EVERYONE, this week was great as always. Our friend Tommi actually ended up dropping us which was sad, but we got like 5 new people to teach in his place. The only problem is most of them are Ukrainan or Russian, so that brings me to my next point of discussion which is I'm really debating learning some Russian, because we only have one Finnish and Russian speaker in our ward and we don't want to take over his life.  Tuesday March 12, 2024 ALRIGHT EVERYONE LISTEN UP CRAZY WEEK!  So the beginning new is that we have 8 new friends, and most of which are very promising!  We had a baptism this week for a 8 year old girl in our ward so of course we took the opportunity to invite a ton of our friends to that and Tommi (the guy from the last email, and Toni (a new one) showed up and both really like it.  Tommi especially had a reaction because after the baptism he acted like nothing happened, but after he left, about 30 mins later he texted us something along the lines of "based on recent experiences I've decided to dedicate my time in studying the Book of Mormon for the next week so I don't think we can meet this week"  this is pretty big since when we first met after the initial contact on the street he had already read 20 pages just for fun, but now he's actually interested, pray for Tommi!  Tuesday March 12, 2024 Alright everyone here's another double email, sorry last P-Day was absolutely insane as you'll learn later. So first I'll talk about who we're teaching, so we found this guy named Simon a while back and we were just able to schedule a meeting with him. When we got there, his friend from Sweden was there too and it turned out it was Simons Birthday as well! The lesson went really good and both of them got themselves a BOM, Kevin sadly is going back to Sweden soon but we will refer him to the Swedish missionaries and they can take over from there. We also met with Juho and Mikko and both lessons went really well, we had some really good doctrinal discussions with Juho. We also met with Tommi this week whose a guy I found not too long ago and that went well, he was just very hard to get too since he was pretty set in his ways and didn't think religion was for him.
