Chapter 22: Planting Seeds, " ITS W"

Alright everyone here's another double email, sorry last P-Day was absolutely insane as you'll learn later. So first I'll talk about who we're teaching, so we found this guy named Simon a while back and we were just able to schedule a meeting with him. When we got there, his friend from Sweden was there too and it turned out it was Simons Birthday as well! The lesson went really good and both of them got themselves a BOM, Kevin sadly is going back to Sweden soon but we will refer him to the Swedish missionaries and they can take over from there. We also met with Juho and Mikko and both lessons went really well, we had some really good doctrinal discussions with Juho. We also met with Tommi this week whose a guy I found not too long ago and that went well, he was just very hard to get too since he was pretty set in his ways and didn't think religion was for him. The greatest friend we found this week was a man named Kasun, he's from Sri Lanka and he and his wife are the kindest people ever. When we went over to their house for the first time it was really funny because they offered us everything we can't drink (first coffee, then tea, then towards the end alcohol lol). Me and elder Suman were a little scared about that for a bit but as you'll see on the next email, not anymore... so we were able to give them a BOM in Sinhala and they were so happy to have it, we taught the first lesson and they absolutely loved it! Another promising person we found was a person man named Amir. He was super cool to teach and the guy is definitely very interested. P day was actually insane.... like insanely insane. So I didn't have time to write this email last week like I was supposed to because we had a DA, a lunch with Tri, and then a lesson with Tri and his sister at night, so basically it was insanely busy. The DA with Sister Rautio was great, she had this book that she made every missionary to ever go into her house write something in, and some of the missionaries went back to the early 80's! After signing it we went and got groceries and then went to Tris house for a lesson with him and Jessi. The lesson went great, but afterwards all of us were getting absolutely COOKED by Jessi, but no one got it worse than Tri. Jessi likes Roblox a lot and Tri was saying how he doesn't, and then Jessi hits him with a " YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO MOVE.... IT'S W!", doesn't sound very funny when you read this probably, but you just had to be there. Also something i failed to mention earlier was that we had splits with Hämeenlinna, and a District council which both went great!

 Alright sorry if this seems like a very bland email, I'm saving all the hype for the next one, basically just remember our friends Tommi, Amir, and Kasun, and also take into account that we did so much more finding after this which leads into the next email...

Yoooo what is up everyone, I can finally tell you all about what's been going on. The plane ride went by so fast, there were 6 other missionaries on my flight and we talked the entire time and had a blast. So getting to see my district for the first time was super epic and we all bonded instantly and are insanely close now. I first met Vanhin Smith because he had been staying there for a day already because thats when the church scheduled his flight from Britain and I was the first to arrive, everyone else showed up a little bit later, i got to try some fire british candy. The MTC is super spiritual and ive learned so much Finnish already even though it doesnt quite make sense yet haha. My instructors are epic, they just got back from Finland in the past year so thats pretty cool, our district has the perfect amount of Goofy and spiritual so it's always a blast. Chapter 3: Elder Andersen Visit!

 Wed October 25, 2023 Hey everyone, honestly not too much happened this week, just the same old schedule, I got sick this week which is a total L but it's not too bad. Finnish is going good, I'm starting to understand some of the grammar cases now and how and when to use them, the word study is going too. I also ran into a pole face first one day because I was distracted talking to Vanhin Palmer and it was really funny  . They had some fire spicy chicken sandwiches yesterday, it was bomb. Something that was super epic was we were visited by Elder Anderson and he gave an amazing devotional. The main take aways I got were : 1. Never settle in your spiritual journey, there is always more you can do to grow 2. He talked a lot about how everyone feels the Spirit differently and how we all need to find out how we feel it It was super cool being able to see an apostle at the MTC, you get a way larger appreciation of them when your a missionary haha. Chapter 24: The Snow Strikes Back! The Legend of Kasun, Learning Russian?

 Tuesday March 19, 2024 2 weeks without it snowing right, Ice is melted and life is good, but then out of no where, 1.5 feet of snow comes within a few hours with insane Wind!  It's actually super cool and fun, but it was completely a surprise.   HEY EVERYONE, this week was great as always. Our friend Tommi actually ended up dropping us which was sad, but we got like 5 new people to teach in his place. The only problem is most of them are Ukrainan or Russian, so that brings me to my next point of discussion which is I'm really debating learning some Russian, because we only have one Finnish and Russian speaker in our ward and we don't want to take over his life.
