Chapter 28: Little Fire in the Big City (If you know, you know), Interesting Development, Legend of the Weights, KFC

Alright everyone, this week has been great (other than leaving Hyvinkää which was an L)  Tri actually came and said goodbye, which wasn't fun.  Saying bye to Suman was an L too, but I'm glad he's staying in Hyvinkää.   He's going to really bless that place.  I really miss Hyvinkää but Turku is fun, although its so different, since Hyvinkää was a very spread out little town, whereas Turku is a massive city.  We've been doing a lot of finding since Aatos' trainer really wasn't into it I guess, and also because I'm a street rat and its great.  We've had a lot of fun here.  Since Aatos and I were friends back in Hyvinkää before he started his mission, it made the switch fairly easy,  and since he's a gym rat life is good.  We have so much weights it's epic and we actually pulled off a successful contact by saying to these people that if we beat them in a bench press contest they had to listen to our message.  After that we had splits with Elders Olson,  and O'Bryan.  That was a lot of fun and we got a lot of contacts.  On Saturday me and Aatos helped the Sisters and their Greenies get in.  Sister Christensen is training Sister Helske (who's Finnish), and Sister Ackerman is Training Sister Nelson.  This district is epic and we're all gonna have a lot of fun this transfer.  We all went to a DA yesterday.  When it was done, we got Mudcake Galore which was dope, also perhaps the most based thing in Turku is the Fact that there's a KFC here.  It's actually really great, or maybe I just miss American fast food.  Another cool thing about Turku is that you meet people from all over all the time, and even more so than in Hyvinkää.  Because there's all these different people, there's so much variety during street contacting, and also a lot of epic restaurants!  My Finnish is improving a lot, I can basically understand everything someone says to me on the streets, and Aatos is helping me with my speech, so life is great!


Overall a pretty chill week, we about to raid the Muumi Shop today and the music shop (I want a harmonica again) after this push day workout we're about to do, so love y'all take care and be safe!

Yoooo what is up everyone, I can finally tell you all about what's been going on. The plane ride went by so fast, there were 6 other missionaries on my flight and we talked the entire time and had a blast. So getting to see my district for the first time was super epic and we all bonded instantly and are insanely close now. I first met Vanhin Smith because he had been staying there for a day already because thats when the church scheduled his flight from Britain and I was the first to arrive, everyone else showed up a little bit later, i got to try some fire british candy. The MTC is super spiritual and ive learned so much Finnish already even though it doesnt quite make sense yet haha. My instructors are epic, they just got back from Finland in the past year so thats pretty cool, our district has the perfect amount of Goofy and spiritual so it's always a blast. Chapter 3: Elder Andersen Visit!

 Wed October 25, 2023 Hey everyone, honestly not too much happened this week, just the same old schedule, I got sick this week which is a total L but it's not too bad. Finnish is going good, I'm starting to understand some of the grammar cases now and how and when to use them, the word study is going too. I also ran into a pole face first one day because I was distracted talking to Vanhin Palmer and it was really funny  . They had some fire spicy chicken sandwiches yesterday, it was bomb. Something that was super epic was we were visited by Elder Anderson and he gave an amazing devotional. The main take aways I got were : 1. Never settle in your spiritual journey, there is always more you can do to grow 2. He talked a lot about how everyone feels the Spirit differently and how we all need to find out how we feel it It was super cool being able to see an apostle at the MTC, you get a way larger appreciation of them when your a missionary haha. Chapter 24: The Snow Strikes Back! The Legend of Kasun, Learning Russian?

 Tuesday March 19, 2024 2 weeks without it snowing right, Ice is melted and life is good, but then out of no where, 1.5 feet of snow comes within a few hours with insane Wind!  It's actually super cool and fun, but it was completely a surprise.   HEY EVERYONE, this week was great as always. Our friend Tommi actually ended up dropping us which was sad, but we got like 5 new people to teach in his place. The only problem is most of them are Ukrainan or Russian, so that brings me to my next point of discussion which is I'm really debating learning some Russian, because we only have one Finnish and Russian speaker in our ward and we don't want to take over his life.
